Build More Muscle To Speed Up Your Metabolism
Everyone is so concerned with stimulant based products or foods that apparently speed up their metabolism in an attempt to burn away fat.
Everything is always centred around killing the body they hate.
Make it run faster. Underfeed it. Over train it. Hoping that it will melt away to reveal a superior being.
Your metabolism is largely determined by your lean mass. More specifically your muscle mass.
If you want a faster and more efficient metabolism you need more muscle.
Muscle is energy draining for the body. The body doesn’t want excess muscle which is why it’s so hard to build. So the body needs more energy, calories, to keep the muscle it has. As your lean mass increases so does your metabolism and caloric need.
In order to build more muscle you need to eat plenty of good food. More than what your body needs to conduct it’s basic processes.
You then need to train and provide a stress, weight, that is great enough to cause a reaction. Something along the lines of, “Holy shit this mother fucker is insane! We need to do something quickly in order to deal with this stress before this asshole kills us!” Lots of messages get sent from the nervous system to the body. Many big scientific words and processes occur. Muscle is built and your ability to deal with the current stress gets somewhat easier.
Now you have more muscle which means you need more food to keep and run that muscle. Now your metabolism is running faster in order to deal with the food coming in to keep the new muscle you built.
If you then want to get rid of fat, you simply start to slightly lower the calories. It doesn’t take much. The body is now used to running on a lot of food. It is so concerned with the stress the weight training is causing that it wouldn’t dare take anything away from the muscle. Any drop in calories is going to have a reaction which is something along the lines of, “This mother fucker is insane! Where do we get energy from? We cant take it from the muscle because it needs every nutrient to deal with the stress from the weight training.” More big scientific words and processes magically happen. Now fat is used. Fat starts to burn and you get leaner as you now have more muscle than fat.
If you want to walk around wired on stimulants, have a pre workout and drink some coffee. Just because you’re racing doesn’t mean you’re burning fat. Plenty of fat people drink lots of coffee.
If you want a faster metabolism that burns fat efficiently and doesn’t require starvation, calorie deficits and constantly feeing tired and run down, you need to eat more, get stronger and build more muscle.
