Is It Worth It?

Think of it like this:

Every time you cheat you run the risk of ruining whatever momentum you had.

In many cases, you’ll go backwards and gain weight/fat.

Now it might be as simple as getting back on the diet and everything will clean itself up.

But if you’re a serial cheater, like so many people are, that doesn’t always happen.

So the only way to clean up your mess is by lowering calories.

Now you’re lowering calories to get back to where you were before you cheated.

Back when you were leaner and eating more food.

Only now, you’re on less food. Because you cheated and had to clean it up. By lowering calories.

So now you have less food to work with.

Now your body has to learn to run on less food.

So when you cheat again, and we both know you will, the chances of you getting fatter are even higher.

Then you need to lower the food down even further to clean up the new mess.

To go back to where you were. When you were eating more food. And when you were leaner.

But still fatter than the last time you cheated.

The longer you do this, the longer you are on low calories.

The longer you are on low calories, the worse you feel. The more tired you are. The more moody you are. The worse you train. The weaker you get. The higher your chances of getting injured.

When you’re on low calories and train badly, guess what happens? Gain muscle? Lose fat?

No, you silly goose. You lose muscle.

So now you’re on no food, feeling like ass, fatter and losing muscle.

Know what happens when you lose muscle?

Your body can't handle as much food because your metabolism slows down.

So now you need to eat less food.

Know what happens when you eat less food? You get cravings?

You’ve already proven that you can't deal with cravings. So you’ll probably cheat.

Guess what happens then? YES! You’ll get fat!

Then what happens? The calories need to be lowered!

This is fun ain’t it? No? You’re no fun.

Do you see the cycle that is forming here?

Still think that cheating is worth it?

Think I’m being dramatic and exaggerating? Take a look around.

How many people are achieving anything?

Like really achieving anything.

I don’t mean newbie progress that everyone makes in the first 4 weeks while still eating doughnuts.

How many people are achieving what they set out to achieve?

Take a look around.

Still think that cheating is worth it?

“But life is short. You need to enjoy yourself.”

100% I couldn't agree more.

Life is short.

Why the fuck would you waste it spending years trying to do what you could do in a few weeks all because you won’t stop cheating?
